The family of legendary rapper 2Pac has initiated an investigation into allegations that Diddy may have been involved in the iconic artist's murder.
This decision comes after recent claims resurfaced, suggesting a connection between the two.
On July 29, TMZ reported that some of 2Pac's relatives have hired a team of investigators, including prominent lawyers Alex Spiro and Christopher Clore, to delve into allegations made by Keefe D.
According to Keefe D, in a 2009 police interview, Diddy allegedly offered him $1 million to kill both Suge Knight and 2Pac during the infamous feud between Bad Boy Records and Death Row Records in the mid-1990s.
Keefe D further claimed that half of the payment was made to Harlem gangster Eric «Von Zip» Martin following 2Pac's 1996 murder.
Legal documents obtained by The Sun this week reveal that prosecutors allege Keefe D became an «active confidential informant» for a task force initially set up to investigate the murder of Biggie Smalls.
As part of this arrangement, Keefe D reportedly traveled to New York with LAPD detectives to gather evidence against Diddy and Martin.
The 179-page document outlines a plan to ''corroborate the conspiracy'' to kill 2Pac, which Keefe D was allegedly involved in.
Despite these claims, Diddy has consistently denied any involvement in the tragic killing of 2Pac.
In a 2011 interview with L.A. Weekly, Diddy dismissed Keefe D's allegations as "pure fiction and completely ridiculous."
Now, 2Pac's family seeks to uncover the truth. If their investigation uncovers substantial evidence, they plan to pursue criminal charges.
This development has reignited interest in the long-standing mysteries surrounding 2Pac's death and the role of key figures in the hip-hop industry during that turbulent era.
As the investigation progresses, the hip-hop community and fans worldwide await potential new revelations in one of music's most notorious and unsolved cases.
This inquiry marks a significant step in the ongoing quest for justice and closure for 2Pac's family and admirers.
