TMZ reports that the actor has recently completed the purchase of a new multi-million dollar estate in Los Angeles, signaling that the couple's separation may be heading towards a permanent split.

Real estate insiders reveal that Ben's new Pacific Palisades mansion, purchased for $20.5 million, boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms.

The luxurious property includes breakfast and dining areas, a separate family room, den, walk-in closets, media room, powder room, and a guest house among other amenities.

Previously, TMZ reported that Ben and Jen had quietly attempted to sell their Beverly Hills home back in June.

When there were no takers, they officially listed it on July 11 for $68 million.

Having bought the house just last year for around $61 million, the couple faces challenges in breaking even after accounting for the L.A. mansion tax, real estate commissions, and extensive renovations.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez is also on the lookout for a new residence.

The couple has been separated since May, and Ben recently moved all his belongings out of their Beverly Hills home while Jen was in Europe.
