Iggy Azalea exposes Playboi Carti's parenting drama!

Iggy Azalea has always been open about being the more involved parent between her and Playboi Carti.
She reiterated this on a recent podcast, discussing her role as a "single mom" and Carti's lack of involvement in their son's life.
During her appearance on the 'Dinner's On Me' podcast, Iggy Azalea opened up about her parenting situation with Playboi Carti.
The former couple shares a four-year-old son named Onyx, whom they welcomed in 2020.
However, by October of that year, Iggy confirmed that she was raising Onyx «alone» and was no longer «in a relationship» with Playboi Carti.
''I'm very much the only parent, no disrespect, but yes, I am not co-parenting really, and that's just the reality of it. It's one, it's 24/7,'' Azalea shared.
Iggy Azalea also spoke about how being a mother to Onyx has reshaped her priorities and the kind of lifestyle she wants to lead.
''I no longer want to be traveling around everywhere. I want to take my son to school. I want him to have memories with me and give him that time. It's really important to me,'' she explained.
Reflecting on her own childhood, Azalea mentioned how her mother's presence and encouragement were vital to her self-esteem and development. She wants to provide the same for her son, Onyx, even though he is only four years old.
''And it's important to me, even when my son's only 4, that I know I'm there, instilling that confidence in him and just helping guide him. It's my job as a parent. I think if you're going to have a child, you should be prepared to do that and engage in that way. And I really want to. I toured two years with my son on a bus and it was time for that to end,'' Azalea added.
Earlier this year, Iggy revealed that she was stepping away from music to explore other creative talents, such as creative direction or design. Her decision underscores her commitment to providing a stable and nurturing environment for her son.
Iggy is one of several celebrity mothers speaking out about their co-parenting relationships recently.
