So, Post Malone just dropped some serious truth bombs, and it's kinda heartbreaking. He revealed that he dealt with being called a "culture vulture" by turning to alcohol.
In a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Posty got super real about how tough it was when he was just starting out in the music scene.
He admitted that the hate hit him hard, and to cope, he turned to alcohol.
''It sucked. I was a kid,'' he confessed, explaining that it was really tough not to take the criticism personally. Can you even imagine dealing with that kind of pressure?
But here's the thing-Posty didn't let it break him.
He said his music has always been for the people who love him, not for the haters.
''It's for the people who love you and yourself,'' he said, reminding us all why we fell in love with his music in the first place.
From day one, Post Malone has faced a lot of backlash, especially for his style that blends different genres.
Some people just didn't get it and accused him of being an outsider trying to cash in on hip-hop. But Post has always been true to himself, saying,
''I like what I like, and I'm not trying to be anything I'm not.''
Now, with a new country album called F-1 Trillion on the way, Posty is proving that he's going to keep doing his thing, no matter what anyone says.
