Rick Ross is facing a fresh legal battle, as a fan has sued him over claims that his popular Car & Bike Show wasn't accessible for people with disabilities.
The plaintiff, Darris Straughter, alleges that despite multiple assurances from the event organizers, he was unable to attend the show because a promised wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus never arrived.
According to Darris, Ross marketed the event as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit his property, which motivated him to sell his car and invest in travel, lodging, and a ticket to the show.
He says he contacted the venue two weeks before the event, informing them of his need for reasonable accommodation.
Organizers reportedly assured him that a shuttle would be available to take him from the parking lot to the event.
However, Darris claims he waited for hours, but the shuttle never came. Frustrated, he eventually gave away his ticket and returned to his hotel.
He further alleges that organizers promised refunds for those who couldn't attend, but he never received one.
Darris, represented by attorney John Hoover Esq., is suing Rick Ross for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and violating the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA).
He's seeking damages and a court order requiring future events to be accessible to people with disabilities.
As of now, Rick Ross has not responded to these allegations. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
