In a surprising turn of events, "Sopranos" star Drea de Matteo has revealed some unexpected details about her OnlyFans account.
The 52-year-old actress, who joined the adult subscription site to prevent her home from foreclosure, recently admitted on the "Not Today, Pal" podcast that her 13-year-old son, Blackjack, helps edit her content.
While chatting with her former co-stars Robert Iler and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, de Matteo discussed her girl-on-girl content and made a heartfelt apology to her daughter Alabama, 16, and son Blackjack, who were nearby during the recording.
"I'm sorry guys," she said. "I'm really sorry. But they know."
Robert Iler then mentioned that her son had told him he edits her OnlyFans photos.
"Oh yeah," de Matteo confirmed. "He's like, 'So what do you want me to do with the bikini line here?''
Despite the unconventional family involvement, de Matteo clarified that her children do not see the explicit parts of her OnlyFans channel.
She shares her teenagers with ex-boyfriend Shooter Jennings.
De Matteo compared her OnlyFans work to her past acting roles, stating,
"Because it's like, if I were to do it in a movie, because I would make out with girls in movies all day long before I'd even make out with boys."
Last month, she appeared on "TMZ Presents Famous & Naked" and explained that OnlyFans provides her a safer space.
"When we launched we had - I would say - a couple hundred bucks left in the bank. I'm not kidding. My house was going into foreclosure," she said.
The actress, who has faced backlash for her refusal to get the COVID-19 vaccine, turned to OnlyFans after her stance led to a significant decline in acting opportunities and financial stability.
"Did I do it out of desperation? F*** yes I did," she admitted. "It empowered me to take care of my f***ing family."
Despite the negativity and being "canceled" from Hollywood, de Matteo stands by her decision, saying,
"Hollywood the actual industry itself, there's a lot of shifty s*** that goes on in Hollywood and we all know that. It's about freedom and I don't have to answer to f***ing anybody right now."
Initially, de Matteo and her boyfriend considered using OnlyFans to host a controversial podcast behind a paywall to avoid media backlash.
However, the platform's potential to provide financial security ultimately drove her decision.
"I did it, but I didn't want to do it," she continued. "I got a lot of heat for doing it and it went f**king viral and people went nuts."
Despite the controversy, de Matteo remains focused on providing for her family and embracing the freedom OnlyFans has given her.
