Aussie actress and comedian Marney McQueen is set to portray Céline Dion in the upcoming jukebox musical ''Titanique''.

The show, which received rave reviews in New York, will debut in Sydney at The Grand Electric on September 12.
The musical features a whimsical plot where Dion humorously claims she was on board the Titanic and retells the tragic story through her hit songs.
McQueen, known for her performances in Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Hairspray, expressed her excitement, saying,

''This show really is a love letter to Céline Dion. She's got an incredible sense of humour, she's extremely funny, and all of that is infused throughout the show.''

To prepare for the role, she hired a vocal coach, as performing Dion's powerful songs is a new challenge.
She will sing hits like ''Because You Loved Me'', ''I'm Alive'', and ''the challenging My Heart Will Go On''.
Joining McQueen are Drew Weston as Jack Dawson, Georgina Hopson as Rose, Matt Lee as Victor Garber, and Abu Kebe as the iceberg.
Weston describes the show as
''90 minutes of pure hilarity and joy. You'd be crazy to miss it, honestly.''
