Fans of Lauryn Hill will need to be patient as the anniversary tour for The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill has been quietly canceled.
According to Variety, Lauryn Hill and the Fugees, including Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel, were set to start their co-headlining tour on August 9, but the shows have now been called off.
Live Nation notified ticket holders on August 6, stating,
''Your event has been canceled. A refund will be on its way to your account soon.''
No further details on the cancellation have been provided, and representatives for the band and Live Nation have not responded to comments.
Previously, Hill postponed the tour in November 2023 due to vocal strain. In June, she announced that the Fugees would join her for a 21-date tour celebrating The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and The Score.
The tour was set to kick off in Tampa, Florida, with stops in major U.S. cities and international shows in London, Paris, and Amsterdam.
YG Marley, Hill's son, was scheduled to perform as a special guest at each concert, with additional guests to be announced.
In November, Hill detailed her vocal issues on Instagram, revealing that she had been using prednisone to treat her strain.
However, due to the potential long-term effects of the medication, Hill decided to take a break for proper vocal recovery.
