Dr. Umar Johnson criticized JAY-Z for performing at Tom Brady's Hall of Fame induction instead of joining Hip Hop's 50th-anniversary events.

''You have no right � no right � honoring a white man, Tom Brady, who's never done anything of significance for the Black community,'' while ignoring the milestone for Hip Hop.

He emphasized that JAY-Z's success is rooted in Hip Hop and argued that he should have participated in the celebrations.

JAY-Z, however, did contribute to Hip Hop's 50th anniversary with "The Book of HOV," a multimedia exhibition at the Brooklyn Public Library, showcasing his career and influence.
