Divorce rumors have been swirling around the couple, but insiders reveal that their troubles run deeper than the widely reported claims of Affleck feeling intimidated by Lopez's fame.

According to People, a source clarified,

Despite their second wedding anniversary passing without acknowledgment and the couple spending the day apart, there is still hope for reconciliation.

Neither Lopez nor Affleck acknowledged their two-year wedding anniversary, which took place this week.

They even spent the day on opposite coasts, though Lopez was with his daughter Violet in the Hamptons. While the two are currently living totally separate lives, they're reportedly not throwing in the towel yet.

A source previously told Us Weekly that there is still a "sliver of hope" as neither of them have "made a decision" yet about their relationship.

Another insider mentioned that they are using this time apart to figure things out, suggesting that both are going through significant personal and relational challenges. They are going through so much individually and as a couple.

Earlier this week, Lopez was spotted spending time with Affleck's eldest child, Violet, in the Hamptons.

The step-mother and daughter duo were seen heading to grab a bite to eat at 75 Main, where they met up with Violet's friend, Cassidey Fralin.

At one point, Lopez and Violet walked with their arms around each other, indicating a strong familial bond despite the ongoing marital issues.
