Irv Gotti, co-founder of Murder Inc. Records, is facing serious legal trouble.
On July 11, a lawsuit was filed against him in Miami-Dade court by a woman identified as Jane Doe, accusing him of sexual assault and abuse over a period of two years.
According to the complaint viewed by HipHopDX, the allegations against Gotti, whose real name is Irving Domingo Lorenzo, span from 2020 to 2022, taking place in locations such as Saint Martin, Miami, and Atlanta.
Doe claims Gotti coerced her into having sex as soon as they arrived in Saint Martin in 2020, threatening to send her home if she refused.
Due to his power and influence in the music world, she complied,
The two reportedly began dating, during which Doe alleges she suffered constant abuse. Amid their breakup, Doe claims Gotti slandered her to his extensive social network in and around Los Angeles, leaving her fearful to leave her home.
As a result of this sexually abusive relationship, Plaintiff has suffered severe emotional and psychological harm for which she had to be committed to a psychiatric ward,These injuries continue and affect Plaintiff to this day.
Rapper 50 Cent, known for his longstanding feud with Gotti, was quick to share the news on Instagram. He posted a screenshot of the report on July 16, along with a summary and his own commentary:
Oh no [eyes wide emoji] The legal fee's are gonna break his ass in half, he ain't got no money. Welp that's all folks.
50 Cent has never missed an opportunity to poke fun at Gotti. In 2023, he mocked Gotti amid news that Nelly and Ashanti were possibly rekindling their romance, sharing a video of the pair onstage in Las Vegas with a picture of Gotti looking distressed.
Man, somebody check on Irv Gotti ASAP! Know he going through it right now. HE WILL BE AIGHT [laughing face emojis]. I was in love wit her, and she just popped up with Nelly. LOL.
The feud between 50 Cent and Irv Gotti dates back to 1999, after Gotti's friend and artist Ja Rule was robbed for his chain at gunpoint in Southside Jamaica, Queens.
50 Cent claimed in his 2005 biography From Pieces to Weight that Ja Rule saw him in a club with the person who robbed him, leading to tension between them.
Ja saw me in a club with the kid who robbed him, I went over to say, 'What's up' to Ja, and he acted like he had a problem with me. But I'm not the one who robbed him.
Ja Rule has confirmed the robbery but denies seeing 50 Cent with the robber.
