Young Thug's trial took a dramatic turn as key witness Kenneth Copeland, aka Lil Woody, admitted to lying in previous statements.

During his testimony on Monday (August 12), Copeland exploded on the prosecutors, admitting that he had fabricated details in 2015 to avoid jail time.
"Like I told you before y'all called me to trial, I have lied," Copeland said in court. "I made things up. I told you this before y'all brought me in this courtroom, and I'm telling you now."

He expressed frustration with the prosecution, accusing them of pressuring him and manipulating the situation.
"I don't wanna be here. Y'all have pressured me, I'm tired of y'all, 'cause y'all know y'all wrong, and y'all Black people doing this to us," Copeland added, making it clear that he isn't trying to help Young Thug, saying, "I don't care nothing about him."

The trial, which has now become the longest in Georgia's history, continues with Young Thug's defense team battling ongoing delays and setbacks.
The rapper's requests for a mistrial and release on bond were recently denied, further extending the courtroom drama.
