Fans were in for an unexpected twist at Nashville's 2nd Annual Franklin Summer Bash when a lightning strike caused a power outage during the "American Idol" concert.

In a true testament to the saying "the show must go on," several top 10 finalists from "American Idol" faced a significant challenge during their recent performance at Nashville's 2nd Annual Franklin Summer Bash.
Jack Blocker, McKenna Breinholt, Kaibrienne, Mia Matthews, and Kayko were among the fan-favorites set to serenade the crowd.

However, as the show neared its conclusion, an unexpected storm rolled in, resulting in a lightning strike that hit a transformer, causing a power outage at the venue.
The blackout occurred in the middle of McKenna's performance of Hillsong's "Oceans."
Despite the sudden darkness, McKenna didn't miss a beat. After a brief pause, she continued her set, with the audience providing makeshift lighting by turning on their phone flashlights.
Jack Blocker, the last performer of the night, received a similar supportive gesture from the crowd.
The audience kept its lights on throughout his 40-minute set, allowing him to continue with just his guitar and voice, delivering a memorable acoustic performance.
Despite the technical difficulties, the performers, including 'Idol' Top 14 finalist Quintavious Johnson and "The Voice" star Maddi Jane, maintained their connection with the fans.
They mingled with the crowd at the end of the show, sitting at the edge of the dark stage to sign autographs and take photos, making the night unforgettable despite the unexpected turn of events.
