Travis Scott's Circus Maximus World Tour hits Australia
Internationally acclaimed hip-hop superstar Travis Scott is set to make waves Down Under with his announcement of the Circus Maximus World Tour' arriving in Australia.
Fans across the continent are buzzing with excitement as the US rapper prepares to perform in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane this October.
Scott's sellout tour, which has already achieved record sales overseas, will hit Allianz Stadium in Sydney on October 17, Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on October 22, and Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on October 26.
This Australian leg follows his newly announced performances across South America, including stops in Santiago, Buenos Aires, and Rio de Janeiro, before concluding with a final show in Auckland, New Zealand.
Taking to Instagram, where he boasts over 56 million followers, Scott shared his enthusiasm for the tour's expansion.
''South America and Australia, what are we doing? I've been wanting to bring an actual tour there forever. Now let's get it,'' he wrote, sparking a flurry of excitement among his fans.
Ecstatic comments flooded in, with one user expressing,
''I used to pray'' for this moment, while another fan declared they have been «waiting their whole life» for this.
However, some Aussie fans were disappointed that Scott will only be visiting three cities, questioning why Perth and Adelaide were left out.
''Typical Perth gets left out,'' one fan lamented.
Presale tickets will be available on Monday, with general sales starting on August 2. Given Scott's track record, tickets are expected to sell out quickly, so fans are advised to act fast.
Currently, Scott is performing on the European and UK leg of his tour, where he has already played to over 270,000 fans across the first 11 shows.
The North American leg included 44 sold-out stops in 2023 and early 2024, making it the highest-grossing rap tour, earning nearly $27 million. Scott is also the first American hip-hop artist to sell 200,000 tickets in one year across three shows in Italy.
This worldwide tour follows the tragic 2021 Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas, where a stampede resulted in the deaths of 10 people, aged between nine and 27. In 2023, a grand jury declined to indict Scott and five others, including the festival's manager.
Travis Scott, who previously dated American celebrity Kylie Jenner and is the father of her two children, continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his electrifying performances and record-breaking tours.
Fans in Australia are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Travis Scott's 'Circus Maximus World Tour.' With presale tickets just around the corner and general sales starting soon, the anticipation is at an all-time high.
Don't miss out on what promises to be an unforgettable tour!
